A Prayer for Our Soldiers at Christmas

I wrote this poem in December of 2007, when so many American kids were deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq, at the height of those wars, as a means of showing our support to them and their families.

The words are just as important today, as there are countless heroes who will not wake up on Christmas morning with the ones they love, celebrating the birth of Our Savior. This poem–this prayer–is for them.
