VP-Elect JD Vance tries walking back controversial stance on J6 defendants

Vice President Elect JD Vance will be sworn in on January 20, and with just one week until taking office, he has ruffled the feathers of many MAGA voters over his controversial comments on J6 “violent” offenders.

Vance told Martha McCallum that violent J6ers should “obviously” not be pardoned, which did NOT sit well with millions of Trump/Vance voters who expect the 47th president to pardon the political prisoners on or near Day One.

Vance took to X after the interview aired to try and clarify his comments, posting, “First of all, I donated to the to the J6 political prisoner fund and got ROASTED for it during my senate race. I’ve been defending these guys for years. Second, there were federal informants in the crowd. Do they get a pardon? I don’t think so. The president saying he’ll look at each case (and me saying the same) is not some walkback. I assure you, we care about people unjustly locked up. Yes, that includes people provoked and it includes people who got a garbage trial.”
