Consumer watchdog group cites DEI, race-driven care, and promotion of trans social contagion in alleging Cleveland Clinic is worst of the woke

Is Cleveland Clinic the wokest hospital in America? They prioritize race-based care and DEI, gender ideology, and climate activism over patients.
In a letter to patients, caregivers, and community members, Cleveland Clinic CEO Tom Mihaljevic stated: “providing high-quality healthcare is only part of our mission” for Cleveland Clinic. Whether it’s supporting racial favoritism and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), transgender medicine for children, or far-left climate activism, Cleveland Clinic is prioritizing woke policies over patients.
Cleveland Clinic makes DEI a priority and “strives to embed diversity and inclusion into all aspects of the organization.” It even has “inclusion” listed as a core value of the organization.
Cleveland Clinic’s Chief of Diversity and Inclusion Jacqui Robertson stated in an interview, “I don’t believe diversity and inclusion should ever be a standalone strategy. It has to be embedded in everything that we do.”
In 2024, Cleveland Clinic was sued for engaging in race-based discrimination against patients in two healthcare programs: the Minority Stroke Program and the Minority Men’s Health Center. The lawsuit accused the clinic of prioritizing patients based on skin color, instead of administering medical care to everyone regardless of skin color.
