Senator Bernie Moreno explains dysfunctional Dems’ flip-flop on funding government, and Soros-funded protest propaganda

Ohio Senator Bernie Moreno joined Strictly Speaking and delivered pointed commentary on several key issues in support of President Trump’s agenda. Moreno began by criticizing the Biden administration’s economic legacy, asserting that “Bidenomics has been a complete disaster for Ohioans,” specifically citing high inflation and job losses in manufacturing as evidence of failed policies. He praised Trump’s recent moves, like tariffs to protect American industries, arguing they’re essential to “bring back jobs and stop China from eating our lunch,” aligning with his campaign promises to bolster Ohio’s economy.
Moreno also addressed the looming government shutdown, set for midnight Friday, placing blame squarely on Senate Democrats, particularly Chuck Schumer. He claimed, “Schumer and his crew are playing games with our tax dollars while our border’s wide open,” tying the funding fight to border security—a top priority for him and his constituents.
He expressed confidence in Trump’s leadership to resolve the impasse, noting, “The President’s got this; he’ll force Congress to get in line.”
“Dark money groups and criminal agitators have decided petty protests and partisan politics are more important than my constituents. But no matter what they throw at me, I will never stop fighting for Ohio!” This directly addresses the weekly “Wednesdays at Bernie’s” protests outside his Cleveland office, organized by Mobilize the Vote Northeast Ohio since February 5, 2025, over his lack of town halls and Trump policy support (per cleveland.com, March 5). Moreno dismisses these as “petty protests” driven by “dark money” and “criminal agitators,” suggesting an orchestrated, illegitimate effort rather than genuine constituent concern.
