Ohio Rep. wants to eliminate property tax in Buckeye State

Ohio State Representative Ron Ferguson joined Strictly Speaking Monday morning to discuss his support of gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, in large part due to their shared goal of eliminating both income and property taxes in the state. Both proposals would require major commitments from State House conservative Republicans and would likely generate no support from Democrats. The two initiatives would not be done in the same budget cycle, and it appears as though the property tax proposal would be first on the list.
