Geopolitical Scholar delivers the TRUE story behind the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and the US role in it
Jeffrey Sachs, an economist and public policy analyst, delivered a lecture at the European Union discussing the historical context of the Ukraine conflict, arguing that NATO’s eastward expansion and Western policies contributed to Russia’s actions, challenging the narrative of Russia as the sole aggressor.
The war began escalating in 2014 with Russia’s annexation of Crimea and intensified in 2022 with a full-scale invasion, amid tensions over Ukraine’s potential NATO membership and U.S. military support. Sachs has been critical of US foreign policy on many occasions, including our historic support for Israel, so his objectivity may be in question. The facts he presented to the EU, however, is not.
